Company to Discuss Practical Approach to Closing Gaps on Electronic Control Supervision
New York, NY - January 23, 2008
Orchestria, the leader in the rapidly growing Electronic Control software category, today announced that David Cohen, Senior Vice President of Solutions, will present at the annual Raymond James Compliance Roundtable at Raymond James headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida on January 24 and 25, 2008.
Cohen will discuss the proposed guidance for electronic communications (e-comm) supervision and the various regulations as part of the published final guidance by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), [FINRA NTM 07-59] in December 2007. Prior to the NASD/NYSE merger into FINRA, proposed guidance for e-comm supervision (NTM 07-30) was drafted as a collaborative effort among the regulators and a committee representing the member firms. Cohen will discuss the specific risks and types of e-comm that should be addressed in an organization’s compliance program for e-comm supervision.
The annual Raymond James Compliance Roundtable, hosted by Kip Carevic (CCO of Raymond James & Associates, Inc.), brings together senior compliance officials from more than thirty of the industry’s brokerage and investment advisory firms to discuss regulatory compliance and risk management within the equity capital markets, institutional fixed income, international, retail, and investment advisory businesses. The roundtable serves as a forum for participants to discuss and identify opportunities for improving industry best practices and compliance with regulatory requirements at their respective firms. This event enables compliance professionals to share ideas that help enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of tools designed to protect the investing public.
